Nov. 4th 2008 History is made

No matter what the outcome of tomorrow elections is it will be history. Either the first black president are the first woman vice president. This is a point being overlooked do to the fact we are at a cross roads as a country. But afterwards it will be more then a footnote across the world. 100 years from know kids will learn of either Obama are Palin in schools like they do about George Washington. Maybe thou after time there will be more blacks are woman in such power, but they always teach about the first ones. Like so many astronauts and men on the moon before them, must people only think of Alan Shepherd are Niel Armstrong. So just for this minute I would like to think of the history that is being made and not the fact it is one of the most important elections sense the depression.

Now onto the crossroads.

McCain had been saying that Obama is not ready for leadership he is young and has less experience then him. They said the same thing about John F. Kennedy. He has said that taxing the richest in this country at this time with how the economy is will send us into a depression; stating that you have to study history to see this point i.e. The Great Depression. If he wants to study history so much why can't he learn and not continue the failed policy that have gotten us into this place, but thats what he wants to do. He says that Obama wanting to spend money to rebuild infrastructure and create jobs threw government spending is a bad idea, but thats how Roosevelt got us out of the depression. I could go on and on.

You see McCain's entire approach of this campaign is to wait to see what ideas Obama has that go over well and say that he will do almost the same thing but in a better way. He has no original ideas are thoughts to improve this country and get us out of this situation we are in. He is not true to his word, to this country, are even to himself. At the beginning of his campaign till now he has taken a complete 180 on almost ever stance that he used to stand for. In a matter of less than 8 months he has decided what he used to say and stand for was wrong, except for the failed economic policy of the last 8 years he still believes those would work. How can you trust him? How can I? How can we?

We you go to vote tomorrow think of this. If George W. Bush had 4 more years to run this country were would we be. Would you have a home to go to at the end of the day? Would I? At what point do you say enough is enough? At what point to do we stop repeating the failed policy of the past, at what point Senator McCain? At what Point? You know what the difference of trickle down now and trickle down of Reagen's area is? The fact the companies out source to other country's. Yes there "headquarters" are here, which allows them to receive tax breaks, but when 70% of there workforce is in another country trickle down won't work. It will never work.

So thats were we are at, a point in time that matters. A choice that will not only effect everyone from the young to the old but till the end of time or at least the end of mine. If the last 4 years weren't bad enough could you imagine another 4 multiplied on the economy now? Obama has fresh new ideas for a hopeful future. For a fresh start for the ones that help build this country. For jobs, health care, and the true "working class". After a long long night were I have watched friends go over there and lose themselves and there family's and knowing that I have to work two full days just to pay for the gas that will get me to work the next week; and having to decide between paying my fathers hospital bills or my grandmothers this month. I finally see hope in the day ahead, and thats why tomorrow November 4th I am voting for Barack Obama for President of the United Sates.
